Kome-take's story
Komejo is our family name, and we have been growing rice for eleven generations in Meiwa Town, Taki County, Mie Prefecture.
The rich soil of the Ise Plain, the clear water, and the rice paddies that change their appearance with each season.
We wanted to deliver the rice grown in that land not just for consumption, but in another form.
With this in mind, Komejo's sake brewing began.
What we value is not extravagance, but the power of the rice itself.
Transforming each grain of rice that we have grown for daily consumption into sake.
This is also a new challenge to connect our journey as farmers to the future.
We entrusted the brewing to Iinuma Honke, a sake brewery with over 300 years of history in Chiba Prefecture.
The long-inherited brewing techniques and our passion for rice came together to create Komejo.
The people who grow the rice, the people who brew the sake, and the people who pick it up.
Valuing these connections, Komejo delivers each bottle with care.
